First off, I’m 5’11” and quite awkward when it comes to my height and have been avoiding wearing anything that has even the slightest heel for my entire and recently I decided to defy all notions and wear heels and embrace being incredibly tall.
I sort of went a bit of a binge of shoe buying, which something I was completely new to. The white ones of the right were the first pair that I bought and wearing them in was quite painful but after surviving the feet torture, they are now my go to sandals since they are super comfy. They are by a brand called Mr & Mare which I found at the Universal Store.
The other two pairs were bought together on a shoe buying excursion. The middle pair were from ZU and when I tried them on it the store I was convinced that I was gonna love them, but since I’m still in the “wearing them in” stage, I haven’t decided whether they are comfy enough for daily wear. We’ll see though, they have potential.
I’ve always wanted a pair of huge chunky boots and these were super cheap and classy, not to mention comfy as all hell. I’ve worn them out dancing/dinner twice for 6+ hours and the only thing that hurt was my little pinkie toes but other than that I could easily dance and walk even after all that time!!!!
Last night I got especially dressed up for a little gathering with some new friends in town and well I thought my outfit was kinda cool. I tried to keep things pretty simple and stuck with my favourite style which is wearing no more of two colours. In my opinion as much as I love my cool designs and layering is really awesome, when I want to stick to something classic you can’t go wrong with your plain colors or shades. What’s your go to fashion color combination? Mine would have to be black and white or black and pink 🙂
So here’s what’s on my body:
- Top – Valley Girl
- Skirt – Forever 21
- Bag – Colette by Colette Hayman
- Boots – Naughty Monkey
- Lipstick – Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in 107 (loving this shade!)
Even though it’s getting a little chilly here in Brisbane, I was actually quite comfortable with wearing this amount of clothes. I suppose you can get away with that in this time of temperamental weather.
What have you been loving recently?
What I’m Wearing:

The #BigBlogmasproject has been absolutely amazing if I do say so myself. Today is the last day and I’d just like to say a huge thank you to anybody who’s read my posts this month or who has followed me this month. It’s been a whole lot of fun to do and albeit a little stressful since I’ve been so busy and had to learn very quickly how to use the schedule feature. I do have a few highlights, I have personally loved reading all The Christmas Tag posts but my personal favourite posts to write this month has been my weekly lustables. I only started writing them this month and I’m pretty sure they’re here to stay and if you haven’t read one of them, they are my own take on weekly loves.
Last but not least, I hope each and every one of you and your friends and family have an amazing Christmas and an excellent new year.
I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙂
xoxo – Happy Holidays
Boy did need new shoes, you should’ve seen how far I had gone with my very dead and destroyed shoes! So yesterday I decided to go shopping and pick up some new flats and when I found these at Novo for $25 I was so happy and then I was even more over the moon when the cashier said I could get another pair of shoes for $10, so naturally I picked up these gorgeous coral wedges, which in my opinion are perfect for spring and summer. Then I ventured over to Factorie and I mean, elephant printed short!!!!! How could I possibly say no.
